(ISC)2 PRESS ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL ISSUE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY: THE (ISC)2 JOURNAL
Partnership with Auerbach Publications to Offer In-Depth,
Peer-Reviewed Papers on Information Security Best Practices
VIENNA, Virginia -The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2, a
non-profit international leader in training, qualifying and certifying information security professionals worldwide,
today announced the inaugural publication of Information Systems Security: The (ISC)2 Journal from (ISC)2 Press.
The (ISC)2 Journal is a bi-monthly publication, containing peer-reviewed articles, white papers and
case studies from (ISC)2's information security professional constituents from around the world offering in-depth
analysis of information security trends and issues. The Journal is produced under a strategic partnership with
Auerbach Publications. All submissions will be vetted by the (ISC)2 Journal Editorial Review Board led by Dr. Corey Schou, CISSP,
(ISC)2 board member and director of the National Information Assurance Training and Education Center
(NIATEC) at Idaho State University.
Lee Imrey, CISSP®, has been named managing editor of the Journal. Imrey is the senior communications manager
with (ISC)2, editor of the (ISC)2 Newsletter, and also lead instructor for
(ISC)2's CBK® review seminars, which he has taught internationally for both the public and private sectors.
"Publication of the (ISC)2 Journal offers information security professionals a global perspective on
current industry best practices, as well as opportunities to expand their peer networks, receive professional
recognition and engage with experts from around the world," Imrey said.
"We believe the Journal will be an important resource for professionals at all levels within the information
security industry, as well as for college and university students planning to enter the field," Imrey said.
(ISC)2 Press, launched in December 2003, is the publishing arm of (ISC)2. Constituents may
subscribe to the Journal for a yearly fee of $45 and non-constituents may subscribe for a yearly fee of $175.

review the Writer's Guidelines and selection process at www.isc2.org.
